Winery Gottardi Mazzon

Pinot Noir has been cultivated in Mazzon since the 19th century. The reason for this is the ideal conditions, which are similar to those in Burgundy, the home of Pinot Noir, and thus guarantee a particularly high quality. Quality is also the basis on which Bruno and Alexander Gottardi wanted to build their dream of their own wine in 1986, and so they took the first important step towards the fulfilment of their wine dream with the purchase of the vineyard in Mazzon.

The idyllic vineyard grew and grew. Over the years, the vineyards were replanted and converted to wire frame cultivation. 9 years after the purchase, the time had finally come: 1995 the first vintage was vinified in the newly built modern cellar. In addition to Pinot Noir, Chardonnay (until 2006) and Gewürztraminer (until 2009) were also cultivated. From 2010, the vineyards have been 100% dedicated to Pinot Noir.
